To non-Westerners, nothing new from Europe

Germany committed genocide against Namibians

Germany committed genocide against Jews

Germany assists Israel with genocide against Palestinians

US committed genocide against Native peoples

US assists Israel with genocide against Palestinians

Australia committed genocide against Indigenous peoples

Australia assists Israel with genocide against Palestinians

Don't ever take any of them for their word

When those cute creative intelligentsia talk about being "anti-colonial"

when getting one or two black persons here and there in their circles

and painting cute stripes on their logos

Dissidents say and write about my people, the Vietnamese

That the Vietnamese kicked the asses of the French and American imperialists

I say, the peoples of the world will not be free

until we kick out all the western colonial and imperial powers

who are waging war and extermination on the peoples of the world

We need to revive the fierce anti-colonial revolutions and Marxist revolutions

That swept the world especially in the last decades

And overthrow the West altogether

What a very strange time we are living in, up is down, right is wrong and on and on. I mean is it very difficult to look at what is happening in Gaza and not recoil in horror? I am not a squeamish person by any measure. I am not going to go into my past but let us just say that I have been in violent situations and I can accept when killing needs to be part of a solution.

What the State of Israel is doing, I think we need to make a point that this is a State action of genocide, this is not a handful of criminal soldiers heading off the reservation. We have public statements from the official positions in the Israeli government. That should be horrible enough but no, we now have "leaders" political and private from around the so called "West" giving cover and more than that, actually praising what this murderous entity is doing. Will people ever say enough? I am embarrassed to say "I do not think so" and I cannot understand why this is the case.

The sheer immorality of the German position is beyond belief, it is not only humanely unsustainable but counterproductive globally in any sphere.

The Nazis wanted the Jews to get out of Europe and they supported Zionism. Seems like that sentiment continues today in Germany.

Joe Biden and his ilk, like Scholz, are correct - there is a life and death struggle between authoritarianism and democracy -they just can't see which side they're on.

Le Than Truc, you left Canada off that list:

Canada committed genocide against Native Peoples and Canada assists Israel… it still does despite the opposition (and thus non binding) motion to stop weapon sales that passed in Parliament and significant numbers of Canadians who stand in solidarity with Palestinians, a motion that was watered down by the governing Liberal party under Justin Trudeau and opposed by the Conservatives who likely will form the next government. Canadas foreign minister M Jolie quietly did a trip to Israel to express continued solidarity. The original motion called for a halt to all trade with Israel as well as an immediate permanent ceasefire and delivery of humanitarian aid. That was a step too far for Justin who had previously argued that Canada shipped only non lethal weapon components while tripling weapon shipments after Oct 7th . But then Canada has the knack for presenting a good face to the outside world, though the brand is wearing thin of late, and not aware of the irony of its anthem’s opening line: O Canada, our home and native land‘…

Being myself of German origin and now for over 30 years observing the mess it’s funny how, out of borrowed economic arrogance, a petty-bourgeois society can stick to the illusion of an economically successful nation that first paid too much for the exchange of East Mark to West Mark (DM) in a ratio of 1:1 (real was 1:12) then the exchange 2 DM for 1 € (real purchasing power of 1 € is today equivalent to 1 DM), then Dotcom bubble, then US / UK estate bubble, then bail-out of German banks and military industry for their adventures in Greece, then economy sabotage against BASF, Daimler "Chrysler", VW, then an uncontrolled migration wave washed into the country, then pharmaceutical virus, and then Ukraine with terrorist attack on German energy infrastructure (North-stream). No wonder if people react irrationally and the political caste tries to conceal its mistakes completely detached from society and where this does not succeed, we "manages" the serfs with oppression. Germany will soon become extreme again. I have little hope, it's corruption like everywhere

Sorry to say that, but I'm afraid the third time will be the charm.

As Shlomo Sand has observed as to what has happened in France - that good old-fashioned anti-semitism from the mid-twentieth century has now reappeared reborn and transformed as anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian racism - seems to be happening in Germany also. This is also happening in the Anglo-sphere, anti-Arab bigots like Douglas Murray, Bill Maher and Sam Harris would been right at home with the anti-semites from a hundred years ago, the target is just different now.

This surprises no one who watched German politics during the covid vaccine rollout, especially the seriously weird minister for health! What concerned me greatly in those times was that those who agreed with it could not see that the behaviour of the political class was not acceptable just because they agreed with them at that time ……. It is very dangerous to think like that, first principles and all that. Equally, anyone who is pro-Israel in Germany will not see what is happening to pro-Palestinians. First they came for the socialists and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for ………

This is how it goes.
